Welcome to Carver, MN

Located just 30 miles southwest of the Twin Cities and just down the Minnesota River from Chaska is the beautiful historic City of Carver, Minnesota. With more than a dozen historic buildings and landmarks, Carver is a history buff’s dream. The beautifully restored Church on the River anchors one end of Carver’s Broadway Street, which is home to several other thriving businesses in historic downtown. 

The City of Carver, a historic Minnesota River community, will deliver quality services in an economic manner to meet the needs of our citizens.  The City Council will provide leadership and make policy which is mindful of Carver's future and respectful of its past.  The City Council will be aided in these efforts by the City's capable and dedicated staff, community volunteers and civic organizations.

In 1980 the old town of Carver became one of the first historic districts in Minnesota to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Carver Historic District included eighty-seven buildings and four structures of historical significance from 1850-1925, with respect to early river town settlement, commerce, dwelling places, and architecture.

Population of Carver in 2008 was 2,915.

School Information

District 112 is one of the most rapidly growing school districts in Minnesota. Enrollment grew by 79% between 1990 and 2000. And projections show that the growth is expected to continue throughout this decade. Located approximately 25 miles southwest of Minneapolis, we serve the residents of four cities: Carver, Chanhassen, Chaska and Victoria. Portions of Chanhassen and Victoria are also served by the Minnetonka School District. All of the communities are growing rapidly as people discover the quality of life in this area of the Twin Cities. Carver still has working farms in our school district along with suburbs and small towns. All of the communities are located in Carver County.

2 High Schools (Grades 9-12; Chanhassen High School will be 9-11 grade for 2009/10 school year)
